Treasury of the Day: Blue

This lovely little treasury was curated by Artyecological. What an interesting compilation of items; it definitely has something for everyone. I'm particularly in love with the lap quilt in the top right corner. I can't imaging ever sewing something with so many pieces.

Artyecological is a Concord, NH artist. She has a beautiful shop filled with handmade stained glass, ACEOs and photography. I particularly love this 5x7 art print.

Treasury Tuesday: A Little Red

I can't believe it's already time for another installment of Treasury Tuesday. This week I present a 100% Vintage Market Team treasury curated by the lovely Photographic Amy. She has a wonderful shop full of fab vintage goodies. Be sure to stop by to click and comment on her treasury and maybe even leave her shop a heart or two. I know new hearts always make my day!   A Little Red is her latest creation, and she very sweetly included an item of mine.

So, here it is.... Maybe you'll find the "little red" that's been missing from your life!

Flights of Fancy Friday: From Paris With Love...

Today has been one of those mornings that make you yearn for a quiet place, where all of life's distractions melt away. As I sip my cafe au lait (yes I know it means "coffee with milk", just humor me), the soft hues of a vintage photograph captivate me. It invites me to withdraw into my own little world for a bit of respite in The City of Lights. So, if you'd like to slip away for "une petites vacances", I'd love some company.

Arriving in style at a posh Parisian hotel is the only way to start this voyage. The record of my previous continent hopping is evident on this amazing vintage Louis Vuitton luggage. Tattered labels give an added intrigue to this valise that has wandered the globe with me on many an exotic excursion.

After settling in to my wonderous new abode, I'm ready to wander the Champs-Elysees in my finest vintage ensemble. Decked from head to toe in Parisian couture, I breath in the glorious views of the city, coming to rest in a darling cafe that overlooks the Arc de Triomphe.

Upon finishing my simple supper, I return to my private salon and slip into an exsquisite antique dressing gown . It cascades onto the floor as I slip into a soft chaise by the widow. I watch the sun set on a horizon teeming with stunning silhouettes of architectural genius.

Before I begin the long journey home, and leave behind the peaceful feeling that has overcome me, I pause to document my experiences. Sitting at the extraordinary writing desk that adorns my lavish suite, I open the drawer to discover these wonderful vintage postcards. What correspondence would not be well received when written on these perfect little gems.

As the voices of two little ones draw me back to reality, I thank you for sharing this holiday with me. It was a bit too short, but very sweet. Hopefully we can do it again soon! Au revoir pour maintenant, mes amis.

Treasury Tuesday: Retro Patriotism at Its' Best

I've been extremely blessed within the last few days. Out of the blue I received 4 emails that I had been featured in a treasury. At first I though there was a mistake when I received the second convo, and then really confused when the third one arrived. You see, the first three are all red, white and blue themed. Two of which contained the same item, so I did a bit of a double take, making sure they were all different. And color me red; they are, and each one is beautifully curated with lots so many beautiful patriotic treasures.

So, a big thanks to all you etsians who have made my week just a little bit brighter! Here are the screenshots of each treasury. Below each picture you will find a link to both the treasury, and the shop of the generous sellers who included me. Please give them all some love, by visiting their shops and treasuries.

Sneek Peak: Etsy Craft Party, Philadephia

I'm so bummed that I'm unable to attend Friday's Etsy Craft Party in Phila. But, I am happy to be able to give you a sneek peak of one thing the night has in store for you lucky ladies and gents. Below you'll find some pics of I a little prize pack I just mailed out to Maggie, our generous hostess for the evening.  Some lucky partygoer will be going home with great vintage crafting supplies from In With the Old Vintage. Also icluded is a sweet vintage apron for crafting in, and a fab vintage bag for tucking away all your treasures. So, from me to you.... I hope you party like rock stars and put Martha to shame with all your crafty genius!

Saturday Vintage Freebie: Black & White & Covered in Buttons!

I finally have a Saturday morning free to post another digital collage sheet.

Since I always experience a twinge of sadness each time I ship out the last piece of fabric I own, in a particular print, I can't seem to delete any of my old product photos. It is slowly becoming a personal archive of sorts. So, from the hidden depths of my bogged down, slow running and over crowded computer; here is the second free digital collage sheet I have created. Click away, all you like. I just ask that you do not reproduce this download, in whole or part, for purposes of resale. This jpeg file is 8 1/2" x 11". If you would prefer it as a png file, leave a comment and I will upload a png version as well. If you have any problems downloading the image, let me know.

This Saturday post is for all of you vintage crazy, fabric loving, crafters out there. I hope you enjoy!

What a Crazy Few Weeks

I was finally feeling on track; adding a few blog post, listing more frequently in the shop and even updating my Flick'r account. Then..... Memorial Day madness. I forgot how much work it is to travel with 2 little ones. Three days packing and almost three days unpacking. However, it was definitely worth the work. We spent a lovely weekend with family in DC and much to my surprise, I may have a water baby on my hands. By day three she walked right out to the pool after breakfast, took of her pajamas and jumped right in. Thank goodness for privacy fences!  Although, now she keeps asking if she can have another "naked party". Hopefully, she won't attempt a repeat performance when we begin frequenting the local pool this summer.

Anyway, it seems that the chaos has finally died down and I can get back to the daily grind, which I love so much. Seriously, I'm not kidding! I wake up every morning, excited to get to work. Now, if there were only 30 hours in a day. I'm afraid the challenges of working from home, with the little ones underfoot, are beginning to get the best of me. Time for a new plan of attack ladies. Any suggestions?

I guess that's enough pointless babble for today! Happy crafting and collecting to you all!
